Pieve de’ Pitti offers a variety of accommodation options across two distinct properties, each with its own character and amenities.

The two buildings are located approximately 200 metres apart.

Villa Pieve de’ Pitti

Once the historic residence of the Pitti family, the Villa was built in the late 17th century and renovated in 2001, preserving the architecture and timeless elegance of traditional Tuscan villas.
Set atop the Pieve de’ Pitti hill, surrounded by centuries-old trees and an extensive park and garden, it overlooks the surrounding countryside alongside Pava Castle and the Church of San Giovanni di Pava.
Today, the Villa remains the home of the family who run the estate, welcoming guests into this enchanting setting.
Whether staying in one of the B&B rooms or choosing the independence of a self-catering apartment, guests can enjoy a large swimming pool overlooking Volterra and its spectacular balze — the dramatic clay cliffs that characterise the landscape.

Villa Pieve de’ Pitti is home to our B&B, featuring five individually styled rooms arranged over two floors around an impressive pietra serena stone staircase.
B&B guests can enjoy breakfast served in the Villa’s garden, as well as our Honesty Bar by the pool.
While Pieve de’ Pitti does not have an on-site restaurant, we will be delighted to recommend some of the best places to eat in the area or invite you to discover the flavours of the Terre di Pisa through one of our Winetours or a Picnic in the Vineyard.
Since 2025, our beautifully renovated attic kitchen has also allowed us to offer a more exclusive stay for guests seeking something truly special: the charm and character of a historic Tuscan residence combined with the freedom, comfort and amenities of a fully equipped self-catering accommodation.
The Attico Apartment, located on the second and top floor of the Villa, can accommodate up to 8 guests. For larger groups, the first-floor bedrooms can also be included in the booking, allowing the two-level Relais accommodation to host up to 12 guests.
All guests staying at the Villa, whether in a B&B room or a self-catering apartment, enjoy exclusive access to the large swimming pool with hydromassage.

Casale il Poggetto Independent Country Villa

A traditional Tuscan farmhouse nestled among the Sangiovese vineyards, Casale Il Poggetto was completely renovated in 2006. It features gardens on both sides of the house, an outdoor swimming pool with a stone sun terrace, and covered parking reserved for guests.
Located along the white gravel road leading to the winery, the farmhouse is close enough to the heart of the estate to be reached on foot via a pleasant walk through the olive groves, yet far enough away to offer guests privacy and independence.

Casale Il Poggetto houses three apartments, each with its own size and layout.
Il Poggetto, the largest apartment, occupies the first floor and has its own entrance on the north side of the building. It can accommodate up to 8 guests.
On the ground floor, with separate entrances on the south side, are La Stalla, which accommodates up to 4 guests, and La Mangiatoia, suitable for up to 2 guests.
All apartments are equipped with a kitchen, allowing guests to enjoy the freedom and flexibility of a self-catering holiday.
Ideal for large families or groups of friends wishing to spend their holiday together without sacrificing their privacy, Casale Il Poggetto can also be booked exclusively as a private farmhouse with its own swimming pool, offering the perfect setting for a relaxing stay in the Tuscan countryside.

Spending a few days at Pieve de’ Pitti means creating your own kind of holiday: alternating moments of pure relaxation in the gardens or by the pool with cultural and food-and-wine itineraries through the Tuscan countryside, or simply enjoying leisurely walks among the vineyards and up the rolling hills, surrounded by the scents of the countryside beneath the Tuscan sun.

The hills around Terricciola are renowned for their Chianti wine production, offering plenty of opportunities to visit local wineries and taste some excellent wines — including our own, of course!
The Terre di Pisa lie in the heart of Tuscany, making them an ideal base for exploring the region. Within 60 to 90 minutes, you can reach the art cities of Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa, as well as the sandy beaches of Versilia or the rocky coastline around Castiglioncello and Cecina.
The medieval town of Volterra is just a 20-minute drive away, while San Gimignano can be reached in around 30 minutes.
